Mr Chang is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and lymphatic supermicrosurgeon. He is among very few UK plastic surgeons to have completed two international fellowships focused on supermicrosurgical lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA) and vascularised lymph node transfer (VLNT)/modified Charles procedures, covering the full breadth of lymphatic surgery.

He treats lymphoedema of the arms, legs, face and groin, including primary lymphoedema and lymphoedema related to cancer or other surgery. His practice includes ICG-guided mapping, lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA), vascularised lymph node or vessel transfer (VLNT/VLVT), suction-assisted lipectomy and selective debulking for established fibrofatty change.

Appointments and credentials

Mr Chang holds an NHS consultant appointment at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in head and neck surgery, complex microsurgical reconstruction and lymphoedema surgery. He also leads the surgical service at the Great North Lymphatic Centre.

He is on the GMC Specialist Register (Plastic Surgery) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast). GMC: 7271146
