
Mr Henton is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a diverse reconstructive microsurgery practice encompassing lymphatic surgery, breast reconstruction and limb reconstruction.
In 2022 he performed the North East region’s first immediate lymphatic reconstruction (ILR) case in Newcastle and has since developed this NHS practice, including delayed lymphatic reconstruction and suction lipectomy for severe established lymphoedema. He is also departmental lead for major trauma and has introduced Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI) and Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR) surgery to Newcastle for people living with post-amputation pain.

Appointments and credentials
Mr Henton has held a consultant post at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2020. He is departmental lead for major trauma.
He has broad plastic surgical experience dating from 2008, working in fourteen units including several London teaching hospitals, Bristol, Salisbury, Slough, East Grinstead and centres in the North East of England.
He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, is a GMC-recognised trainer and is a full member of BAPRAS (the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons). GMC: 6104614
